Coffee and Music

It's hard to believe that this band's been going for 50 years, but yes, they have. And this track shows why they're still pretty much at the top of their game, with the likes of Maroon 5 wanting to "move like Jagger". Enjoy.

  1. Yeah! There is something to be said about artistic (and professional) longevity in their case. It isn't easy, otherwise there would have been many more.
By the way, I have been trying to follow your blog for months now, but it just wouldn't add to my list of 'blogs I follow'. Today, it said that the blogger has blocked me!

  2. I hear this song all the time so yes, they are doing something well!

On your other commenter I think blogger is acting up the last few days. Too many bugs or something.

  3. My only complaint is that their longevity draws attention to mine. Nice post, thanks.

  6. Older songs and older singers for me have more distinct styles that are memorable and can live on. A lot of current pop music doesn't quite deliver the same repeat-listening value.

    Thank you for your wishes.
    Enjoy the Olympics...

  7. FIFTY YEARS! Have the Stones been around that long already? Now I really feel my age...thanks for that Cuban! :):)

They're still a great band and SATISFACTION is still my favourite!

  8. I remember when the Stones first hit the music scene. And this is still one of my favorites.

  9. 50 years! I hadn't realized that the Stones were still Rolling. That puts a new spin on aging gracefully. It's one of the few groups that both my dad and I like. Awesome track!

  11. here i am considering my mortality and wondering if the passion is only a reflection of a long, long time ago when synchronicity of synchronicity, Cubano pays a much appreciated visit which reminds me that its been a while so here i am watching a memory? no. a pale reflection of something . . . . ah, i miss druggin' no, not metformin, or ambutol but acid before the face-eating zombie apocalypse yadda yadda - - - - i ramble and digress: i love the stones, rock and roll, and i love that you're only on holiday - - - i never got around to saying how much i liked your recent story: the one with the lovers and the tumor. well, i did so like it very much. kudos. not that i care for tumors much, my own nor other's but i do so love lovers even of the star-crossed variety (are there any others worth mentioning?) - - - jagger does not dance as much as he rhyhmically mwalk across the stage. no? and this video is already a generation old. phew! - - do we step aside and make way for the new? or do we do what only we can do according to ourselves alone? - - - enjoy your holiday, hermano. :-)
