  2. The music gave me goosebumps and made my spine tingle! I've never seen a more beautifully executed and produced music video. It transcends any language barrier. I wasn't expecting such a rich, deep voice to come from Ana Carolina. Thank you, ACIL! I hope you have a wonderful New Year.

thanks for your brilliant comment, I didn't realize you also have German.

  5. Many thanks for your comments. This song is a cover of Damian Rice's 'The Blower's Daughter' and I was hooked the minute I heard it. I saw the actual concert, too and both Seu Jorge and Ana Carolina are wonderful musicians.

    Greetings from London.

  16. I am still in my lunch break but just wanted to let you know how beautiful London looks with the snowfall from last night and this morning. The streets are paved in white and as I was walking to work today I had my mp3 player on and the music seemed to be in winter mood. Harold Lopez Nusa, Nitin Sawhney, Aziza Mustafa Zadeh and Paco de Lucia were just some of the musicians that put me in a 'snow' mood today. I am enjoying walking with my trekking boots on the slush-slush poodles.

    Many thanks for your comments.

Greetings from - snowy and very cold - London.

  18. Oh this is so beautiful, so transcendent, and yes Ana Carolina's depth and timbre are unexpected delights as is the poignancy in Seu Jorge's notes. Imagine, we have a new year to look forward to being educated and inspired by the ever generous Cuban - it is a Happy New Year indeed..

  21. Working from home due to the snow today and the blog is still on holidays. Will be back on Sunday with my reflections, music on my stereo - or mp3 player these days - and my mug of hot coffee, or 'mate', on the table. :-)

    Thanks for your comments.

    Greetings from London.

  22. In the 1790's(?) they had a Frost Fair in London when the Thames froze over. I'm starting to wonder if that's going to happen again in 2010.

  24. When I pressed play, I told myself that I would continue to do my psychology homework, but Ana's voice did catch my attention. I as well was not expected. The beauty of the whole experience kept not only my ear, by my eyes as well. It's just too bad I didn't understand what was being said.

Speaking of bilingualism, you left a comment some time ago saying that I would be self conscious if I was indeed bilingual. I'm glad I checked my spam box and found 'tis comment, because now I'm curious at to why that is.
