Darlin Cuban your songs always inspire me. What a wonderful piece for such a beautiful Sunday morning here in America. The sun is shining and the birds are singing thier Sunday song in my backyard and darting about my bird baths and feeders. You should hop across the pond and visit Prince and I. We shall all sit out by our pool in the evening...... listen to the birds, watch my beautiful birds play among our amazing flowers and sip mint juleps as we listen to a little Barry White....... Perfect evening, no?
Many thanks for your kind comments. They had one of those fiery liaisons you can only get between two geniuses who won't budge, no matter what the consequences are. And we all know what happened to her, sadly.
I loved Jacqueline Du Pre ever since I saw Hilary and Jackie. What a sad story... thanks for this, it's always better to remember people at their best.
Hi Cuban in London, she is a GENIUS!!! I will be back to listen to her again. Thank you very much!!! Have a good Sunday. Bye :-)
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Magdalena: sheer genius -as, I consider, was Elgar. Much underrated these days.

The cello is one of my favorite instruments, along with the French horn and classical guitar. This is a wonderful, emotional piece...
ReplyDeleteLook how young they were!

Ahhh, and I before I forget. I prefer the fourth movement, the Allegro ma non troppo, but it wasn't available unfortunately.
