  6. Great version of a timeless song. Mica has some voice. A nice treat.

And, what can I say about one of my favorite artists, David Gilmour! Pink Floyd's "Shine on you crazy diamond" is, to me, one of the best songs of all times.

  7. Many thanks to you all. It is indeed a very good cover of a classic and it has two of my favourite artists, David 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' Gilmour (yes, every phto, I love his music, too :-D) and Mica Paris, one of the better and most underrated British soul singers ever.

    Greetings from London.

  14. This is definitely a perfect choice for a lazy Sunday morning! I thought Nina Simone's version was pretty perfect but this is not bad...

  15. You have the best taste in music and I think it would be amazing if somehow you could incorporate it into high schools where somehow they could hear these songs you pick and really get into the groove of it all. (I know groove shows how uncool I am.)

Now this may be strange but I wonder if it is possible that I could have your home mailing address. If so could you put it on my blog and then I will reject the comment but I will have the address. If not, I totally understand.

    Love Renee xoxoxo

  17. Hi there Mr. Cuban!
First I would like to thank you for your visits. They are much appreciated and you know how I love to see 'Greetings from London'. It's like receiving a postcard.
I actually saw Screaming Jay Hawkins perform this at a club in NYC where I was a DJ. Hard to beat the original, but I do like the sultry version.

  20. Many thanks to you all for your kind words. And no, there are no laughs from me, Rosebud, because we all have different tastes in music.

Renne, if it's a bouquet you're planning to sned me, please, bear in mind that I love tulips :-).

Garri, I saw Gilmour on BBC4 recently and the guy still rocks, man.
