"Others the country take for choice/And hold the town in scorn/But she has listened to the voice/On city breezes borne" (Amy Levy)
I needed that - thanks. :)
As rich and silky and as satisfying as chocolate. Thank you Mr. Cuban.
Welcome sunday morning!
Lovely inspiration this Sunday morning. shoulda woulda coulda in kiswhili is the single word: ninge, ninge, ninge [pronounced neengeh] and the meaning hits home hard, the loss of opportunity, the need to grasp the opportunity.
What a smooth groove! I really like her voice. It's the perfect set up as I head out to catch voudou rock from Haiti's Boukman Eksperyans!
She does have a wonderful voice. I remember when I'm Gold came out I was listening to it over and over again and was on the verge of tears every time I did...Thanks! Polly
What a perfect song to wake up to from my Sunday afternoon nap! Thank you, Mr. Cuban. Loved it.
My only complaint was that it ended too quickly, CiL. It was a perfect song, I thought, for my introduction to Beverley Knight. The way the voices blended and complimented each other was very soothing and relaxing.Thank you, again, for continuing my music education.
You always introduce me to the BEST music. Thank you!
