"And if my thought-dreams could be seen/They’d probably put my head in a guillotine/But it’s alright, Ma, it’s life, and life only" - "It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)" by Bob Dylan
I like it, too.
Good morning. How about putting on another pot of coffee....
Another good choice! Thanks. I don't know what is more fun, logging on to see what you have chosen for the day or listening to the choice.
Thanks a lot for your kind comments.Greetings from London.
I started singing as soon as I read the song title in my Google reader snippet. I'm a huge Phil fan, I even forgive him for Sussudio.
...'cause we've shared the laughter and the pain and even shared the tears...you're the only one who really knew me at all...coño, London, a quien no le gusta esa cancion? que me diga!
Thanks a lot for your comments.Yes, T, I also forgive him for 'Sussudio'; only that I did dance to it many a time in my youth :-)!Greetings from London.
that's so me too, my friend. I haven't really listened to that song in about a decade but I can still remember every bit of it. One of his best. You know what other song that is like that, that I haven't heard in yonks and still recall every now and then? It's Wham's "Careless Whisper". That is an incredible song when you consider George Michael was only 19 when he wrote it. I think his taletns went downhill as he hit 30's and beyond. Yes,I can hear the Flamenco strings even now as I end this comment! So, still cold there? Gorgeous here. Mid 50's F and sun shining.
Thanks, Mmmm, you don't have to rub it in, the warm weather, I mean :-)!'Careless Whisper' is one of my guilty pleasure, although with me there's only pleasures, not guilt at all.Greetings from London.
((sigh)) Me, too.Your word verification is dismsty, BTW. And this song did leave me feeling a little misty.
Hey Cube, This is one of my favorite songs, but right now I'm really bumpin Bennie and the Jets!!! It's probably because I've been watching 27 dresses!!!!
Pero que es un tronco de cancion, no?Thanks, willow. right now the word verification (I haven't signed into my google account yet) is 'noutor'. Go figure. Thanks for your kind comments.Greetings from London.
This song and the previous post remind me of this other song by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush.(Not that I prefer Gabriel better than Collins or Genesis...)Happy new year to everybody!Saludos Al Godar
Thanks a lot, Al. Much appreciated.Greetings from London.
I love your choice - the lyrics are so great! I also love his version of the old Motown classic "You Can't Hurry Love". I agree with triple M and you about "Careless Whisper". Genius at 19; I adore the video too.
Muchas gracias, lena. Thanks, dutchbaby.Greetings from London.
Feliz Nuevo Ano! Happy New Year!Boone Année!Love this too - he's done some great stuff in his time; I heard he's "retiring" from music - what a shame..!
Happy New Year to you, too, here, there! Thanks for popping by.Greetings from London.
