I am a Queen fan, but more the type who knows all the more popular songs. While there are a few bands whose albums I regularly listened to from start to finish, the only Queen LP that fell into that category was A Night at the Opera.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that clip... I don't remember ever hearing it before.
The reason i listen to Queen was Bohemian Rhapsody. i can't be called a real fan of the band, but i know most of their hits.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this very excellent article, and pointing me to the 'Mustapha' clip, which i enjoyed. Raw Queen energy, as usual.
Queen was from my era—“Night at the Opera” was about the only thing good I remember about my first semester in college!

Hi Mario - thanks for enlightening me more about their music ... both of the Mustapha clips are so rich. I'm a Queen fan - and was pleased to know more about their authorship for their music and words. Thank you - I enjoyed this ... all the best - Hilary
ReplyDeleteSo much talent.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I hadn't known Freddie Mercury wrote a song with Persian lyrics. He was clearly very talented. I grew up listening to more mainstream Queen on the radio, and I enjoyed learning his backstory from the film Bohemian Rhapsody.
ReplyDeleteMusic that is energetic and evokes my mood booster.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteWe still often listen to Queen CD's.
All the best Jan
