One-Minute London Cycle Diaries

London Cycle Diaries is both a cycle-based and cycle-orientated series aimed at "discovering" hidden spots in London from the saddle of my Raleigh.

  14. Hi Mario - I didn't know about the district of Bakers Arms .. fascinating and I'm so glad the almshouses are recognised .. though I see Tesco has been pulling things down - but a multi-ethnic diverse population resides there ... wonderful place - I hope it doesn't lose its heritage - cheers Hilary

  15. That sure is interesting. I was wondering... did you have to concentrate with the numbers?
A while ago I met a French woman (it was in a bike shop btw). She spoke a very good German but then counted in French (lucky me understood and she wasn´t cheating ;-)...).
Right and left side of the brain etc...

  19. I always enjoy it when you "take us along" on your cycling trips and share historical tidbits with us, but this time, I believe you revealed a little something about yourself, dear Mario. :) In spite of the header quote about "the ache for home," I do believe you are as much of a proud Londoner as anyone who was born and raised there. (And you probably know more about the history, too!)
