I'd no idea about Tate, nor Reuters being buried in West Norwood - London does contain so much history. I hear you about those towers ... in a few years what will they be ... I wonder if there are requirements for them to have 'how to take them down' ... fascinating - thank you - HilaryHilary Melton-Butcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17596532480645510678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1165773290907101242.post-36165190227904932402022-01-26T00:02:46.380+00:002022-01-26T00:02:46.380+00:00No te pierdas mi amigoNo te pierdas mi amigoRecomenzarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10374707052626551976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1165773290907101242.post-67088111834989116752022-01-26T00:02:10.206+00:002022-01-26T00:02:10.206+00:00No conozco Londres pero me fascina

It's been more than four decades since I studied any architecture and design in school, and things have come a long way. I guess everything has its place, but I still love the beauty of skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building. (At the very end, I think.) I don't mind a big building if it's interesting -- I actually like the Gherkin -- but that Bishopsgate monstrosity doesn't look very interesting. I haven't seen it up close but it's easily visible from Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath!

I do hate the way that money, and particularly foreign investors, distort the London residential property market. It's frustrating that so many people who actually live here can't afford to buy properties because they're competing against buyers who simply want to put their money somewhere with no intention of ever occupying their flats.Steve Reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11684120060438252945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1165773290907101242.post-44640959995426471872022-01-24T06:23:37.455+00:002022-01-24T06:23:37.455+00:00How I like travelling (vicariously) with you. And cemeteries (particularly the old ones) have a great deal of charm.Elephant's Childhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06650565833097914052noreply@blogger.com
